Some of our Sites include veterinary medical information or records provided by you or a veterinary care provider. In operating these Sites, we strive for compliance with the medical records management principles of the Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics of the American Veterinary Medical Association (“AVMA”).
III. Information We Collect. We collect personal information about you to deliver the products and services you request and to help improve your experience on our Sites or with our businesses. We strive to limit the information we collect to what is reasonably necessary to support our specific purpose in requesting it. For example:
A. Registration. In most cases, you must be registered in order to use our Sites or order products or services from us. In the registration process, we collect contact information including email addresses and physical addresses, phone numbers, and payment information. In some cases you will be asked to provide information about animals in your care.
B. Ordering. We collect personal information (which may include credit or debit card information) from you to facilitate the ordering process.
D. Log Files. When you visit a Site, we collect the IP address associated with computer or mobile device (or the proxy server you use to access the Internet), your computer or mobile device operating system, the type of browser you are using, and the name of your ISP ("Internet Service Provider") or your mobile carrier. We use this information to analyze overall trends to help improve our Sites. We do not share with third parties the linkage between your IP address and your information on any of our Sites, unless required by law.
IV. How We Use Information. Patterson Veterinary uses information to offer and provide products and services and support our core business functions. These include order or service fulfillment, communications, internal business processes, marketing, authentication, fraud prevention and other similar functions. Some examples include:
· To fulfill your requests for information, products or services and communicate with you about those requests;
· To register and service your account;
· To provide customer service and to alert you to product information, including recalls;
· To help us improve and customize our service offerings, Sites and marketing;
· To send you information about our products, services and promotions; and

To accomplish these purposes, we may combine personal and non-personal information we collect from various sources, including information provided by third parties. We may transfer or disclose your information with entities affiliated with Patterson Veterinary for these purposes.
V. Ways We Share Your Information with Third Parties. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We only disclose your personal information with your prior consent or under the following limited circumstances:
A. Service Providers. We may disclose or otherwise make information about you available to service providers that help with our business operations. Examples are shipping vendors, billing and refund vendors, payment card processors and companies that help us improve our product and service offerings and our Sites. Your information may be stored and processed by our service providers in the United States or other locations where the service providers maintain facilities. We require our service providers to keep your information secure. In addition, our service providers may not use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than providing the services on our behalf.
B. Legal Requirements and Protection. We may need to disclose your information and/or information about your activities as a user of any of our Sites when required by subpoena or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to:

C. Business Transfers. We may also disclose your information to a third party as part of reorganization or a sale of the assets of Patterson Veterinary or its subsidiaries or divisions. Any third party to which Patterson Veterinary transfers or sells assets will have the right to continue to use the personal and other information that your provide to us.
VI. Your Information Confidentiality Choices
A. Accessing and Updating Your Information. We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information accurate and complete. You can access or update your personal information, including contact or account information, in the following ways:
· If you have created an account on any Site, log into your account. Once you do, you will be able to enter and update your own contact information and payment information, as well as contact information for any recipients you have designated.

B. Opting-Out of Email Communications. You may opt-out of email marketing communications from us at any time by using any of the methods described in Section (A) above. Please be aware that, even if you have opted-out of receiving marketing communications from us, we may still contact you for transactional purposes, such as customer service, product information, service or reminder notices, or recalls. We may also need to contact you via email with questions or information regarding your order, such as regarding order status, shipment or refunds.
C. Closing Your Account. You can close your account by contacting Patterson Veterinary at 1-800-225-7911 and requesting closure of your account. If you close your account, we will terminate online access to your personal information, but Patterson Veterinary will retain this information for recordkeeping purposes and as required by law.
VIII. Children and Minors. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Children may not use our Sites or purchase products or services from our businesses, and we request that children under the age of 13 not submit any personal information to any of our Sites.
IX. Information Security. We strive to meet or exceed industry standards for handling and securing customer information.
It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information (your username and password).
Access to your information on our Sites is password-protected and we use encryption to reduce the risk that others are able to view information passing between our servers and your browser. When you enter a secure portion of a Site, an image of a lock or key should appear in your browser window as an indicator of encryption. We also use various other administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information on our servers. However, since the Internet is not a secure environment, we cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to us, or that the information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by hackers or others who might breach our controls or safeguards.
We use-industry standard methods to protect the payment card information we collect during transactions.
